It’s always a great pride when an American couple chooses France to get married! The stunning Porsche said “I do” to Stephen on the French Riviera, with the Mediterranean sea as backdrop, in June 2018. These amazing, sunny and emotional moments were captured with talent by Iwona Paczek (Mon Conte de fées). Porsche tells us everything below!

We have been together eight years and married for two years now. Our rst date was May 12, 2012 at Universal Studios in Hollywood, California and we have been together ever since. Now we are welcoming a baby boy any day now.
He proposed on December 15, 2016 at the Château de Chambord in the Loire Valley. He knew my love for châteaux and this château was the inspiration behind Prince Adam’s/ Beast’s enchanted castle in the lm Beauty and the Beast. Which is my favorite movie and story. I did not know that he was going to propose, and he completely surprised me.
A French bride to me is simple yet elegant and chic. The details are important, but they always make sure the focus is on the bride compared to American weddings where there can be sometimes a larger focus on the bridesmaids, venues, etc. rather than the bride.
I had two dresses, one for the ceremony and one for the reception. My ceremony dress was a strapless mermaid silhouette with a sweetheart neckline and a rued skirt. I wanted to look like a princess and had a tiara with a veil. The second dress was a lace sheath dress with a low open back and allowed for me to mingle and move around more freely during the reception.
During our first trip to France, we fell in love with the Eze village and knew that that this place was going to have a special meaning to us. A few days later, I got engaged and knew instantly that Château de la Chèvre d’Or in Eze, France would be where we would marry.
We wanted a simple wedding with a small number of family members and friends. The goal was to use the Mediterranean Sea, the sculptures, and greenery as the focal points of our ceremony and did not want too many additions. The colors were inspired by the hotel and we used a lot of white orals with a touch of burgundy to match my bridesmaids’ dresses. We had a harpist play Bach’s Ave Maria and Pachelbel’s Canon and when I walked down the aisle, she played Tale as Old as Time from Beauty and the Beast.
The most wonderful moment was saying our vows to each other and how there were no nerves and I was able to just look into his eyes and tell him how much he and this moment meant to me. Also, our photographer captured this moment without words.
We honeymooned at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France for three days and then spent the remainder of our honeymoon in Paris.
